For those of our friends who regularly see our life streams, the following is not news. For everyone else, the following brief success story. Behind Thalassa Dive & Wellbeing resort Manado is an area where shrimp are farmed. A low dam keeps the water in which the shrimp are farmed separated from the sea, provided one of the “locks” is opened. Around the nursery is a dense mangrove forest and the sea brings, during each high tide level, a lot of floating garbage into the mangroves. Together with ALL the students of the school, the entire perimeter of the nursery was cleaned in 3 hours. 50 large bags of plastic trash was the result. Well done everyone!
