Following Simone Gerittsen’s guidance and thanks to the donations we received, we fixed up several damaged study desks. We also repainted them and gave the kids a chance to personalize their desks through drawing and coloring.
With the help of Arjen Bokhoven from Thalassa Dive & Wellbeing Resort Manado, the students were super excited and loved every moment of the creative process.
They kicked things off by sketching their ideas on paper, which included everything from sunset landscapes and flowers to underwater scenes and anime characters.
The result is some drawings of sunset scenery, underwater worlds, anime characters, their names, and others. The students are so enthusiastic, excited, and very happy about this activity because they will learn from the table they have drawn.
All students in grades 10 and 11 took part in this fun project, which ran from July 22 to August 15, 2024. Now, they have their own unique desks to study at!
